The 2024 Kyoto Prize Commemorative Lectures were held on the 11th at the Kyoto International Conference Center, with 1,100 participants in attendance.
The laureates of the three categories: Sir John Pendry in Advanced Technology, Dr. Paul F. Hoffman in Basic Sciences, and Mr. William Forsythe in Arts and Philosophy took the stage to reflect on their achievements and life journeys.
After each lecture, interviewer Mayuko Ishii (former NHK announcer / freelance) posed questions including advice for young scientists, and the audience listened attentively to their responses.
The commemorative lecture videos will be available on the Kyoto Prize YouTube channel around next spring. Please stay tuned for further updates.
