Professor Simon Asher Levin received the Tyler Prize for Environmental Achievement on April 25. The Tyler Prize was established in 1973 as one of the world’s first international environmental awards. It is awarded to individuals who have made significant achievements in the fields of environmental science, environmental health and energy. Professor Levin was highly commended for his research elucidating the complexity of and relationships between species and ecosystems. At the award ceremony on April 25, 2014, Professor Levin was presented with a check for US$200,000.
